In a desperate attempt to discredit the party, we are not surprised that persons of questionable character—marred by gross offences against humanity—have now sought refuge in fuelling propaganda, creating the illusion of support where none exists.
One such falsehood is the unhinged lie that National Assembly members have been granted automatic return tickets.
We are even more ashamed that supporters of Senator Eteng Jones are not just suffering from what can only be described as a “character insufficiency syndrome,” but seem determined to embarrass the Senator further. Clinging to the rumour of an automatic ticket like a child clings to its mother’s breast, they grasp at anything—anything but the confidence to boast about his performance or competence to contest in 2026.

Let us state categorically: we must expect even more mischief as these individuals scramble for something—anything—to hold onto. One would wonder why a National Assembly member who has truly performed satisfactorily would be afraid to face the people again. Why do you want your cake handed to you? Are elections no longer the cornerstone of democratic systems?
Well, your guess is as good as mine. Those already sensing an overwhelming rejection by the masses should do themselves the honour of stepping aside, rather than misleading their (possibly imaginary) supporters.
Recall that His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, has reiterated the Party’s official position: there are no automatic return tickets for National Assembly members. Therefore, as it stands, the status quo remains unchanged.
Take Notice that in furtherance of the position, The National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka has in a Press Statement signed by his office, Today the 3rd of June, 2025 urged the general public to disregard the report as fake, adding that such mischievous piece never emanated from the party.
It goes without saying that anyone spreading contrary information is not just a mischief-maker, but a delusional figure—like Klem Okoi—building castles in the air, based on the figments of his distorted imagination.
