Her Excellency, Bishop Dr. Eyoanwan Bassey Edet Otu, Wife of the Executive Governor of Cross River State, through her foundation Humanity Without Borders in collaboration with Mountain of Fire Ministries, has successfully trained and empowered over 500 women, men, and youths across the state in diverse vocational and technical skills.
The comprehensive program offered hands-on training in ICT, baking, soap making, perfume production, barbing, solar installation, paint production, and fascinator making. The initiative, aimed at reducing unemployment and promoting self-reliance, culminated today with the formal presentation of empowerment items to the graduates.
Representing Her Excellency at the event was Dr. Virginia Ironbar, wife of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, who applauded the graduates for their commitment to the program. She was joined by Mrs. Nelly Ayambem, wife of the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, who commended the foundation’s efforts in empowering citizens with sustainable skills.
