On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day 2025, the Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, delivered a heartfelt message recognizing the invaluable contributions of teachers both within the university and globally.
In a statement on Sunday October 5, 2025, Senator Ndoma-Egba emphasized the profound role educators play as custodians of knowledge, shapers of character, and architects of the future. He highlighted that education goes beyond examinations and certificates, focusing instead on cultivating discipline, transmitting values, and preparing students to be active contributors to societal progress.
The Pro-Chancellor drew attention to this year’s World Teachers’ Day theme, “Recasting teaching as a collaborative profession,” stressing the importance of cooperation among educators across disciplines and borders to enhance knowledge, innovation, and inclusivity in education. He urged the university community to work together to elevate FUOYE to a globally recognized institution marked by integrity, wisdom, and societal leadership.
